Manning over one million, inmates, Securus Technologies is a leader in the provision of comprehensive, responsive customer service and innovative technical solutions. It solely focuses on the particular needs of correctional and law enforcement agencies.
Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Securus Technologies was founded by Richard Falcone in 1986. The company has regional offices in towns and states. In 2016, the company announced its aggressive expansion strategy by investing $600 million towards acquisitions and patents.
Securus Technologies boasts of innovative products in addition to the acquisition of Syscon in 2007. The company invented a system to curb contraband cell phones in prisons. Over five correction facilities had approved its Managed Access Solutions by 2016. In partnership with Haris Corporation, they developed “Cell Defender” technology in July 2016. In 2017, the company made a great announcement concerning its Wireless Containment Solution which is capable of preventing contraband phones from connecting to other mobile networks.
Due to its state-of-the art solutions in the containment of prisoners and creating a secure community, the company has received a lot of acclamations from some of their clients. In a few samples of such praises, one company says they were able to use some of Securus Technologies’ solutions to get information through phone calls to get a search warrant for one of their corrupt staff. This led to the apprehension of the said person hence preventing more losses that would have resulted out of the introduction of contraband by that staff.
In another letter from a correctional facility that uses the company’s solutions, the company’s reporting data has helped the agency put up proactive measures for monitoring and preventing incidences of contraband in their facilities.
