The ACLU or American Civil Liberties Union has worked extremely hard for over a century to secure the rights of individuals guaranteed by the Constitution of the U.S., In particular, they have taken up the cause of the persecuted and marginalized lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. It is their belief that they need the rights just as everyone else does to have personal autonomy, freedom of expression and association.

The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) is the foremost media advocacy organization that unequivocally promotes the cause of Latinos in America. This organization was founded in Los Angles in 1986 and has gone on to become a powerful voice in support of the Hispanic population of America.

It is quite a powerful organization that is engaged in the advocacy of the Hispanic concerns to the power that be, through its presence in major areas like California, New York, Arizona, Michigan and Washington, D.C.

Thus we see that advocacy for the right causes is happening all the time, across the length and breadth of the United States of America.
